How much does an AI voice agent cost in India?

By Dreavis Technology · Published

The short answer

There is no single price. An AI voice agent has two parts: a one-time build and setup cost, and a running cost that grows with call volume. The build depends on how many call types the agent handles, the languages it speaks and the systems it connects to, so a fair quote only comes after the job is scoped.

The two parts of the cost

The first part is the build: designing the conversation, writing and testing the agent, connecting it to your tools and setting up the phone number. This is paid once, although improvements later are extra.

The second part is usage: telephony charges for the calls themselves, plus the speech and AI processing behind each conversation. These providers usually charge by the minute or by usage, so the monthly figure rises and falls with how many calls the agent takes.

What moves the build price

These factors do most of the work in deciding how large the build is:

  • Number of jobs. An agent that only answers common questions is smaller than one that also qualifies leads, books appointments and sends follow-ups.
  • Languages. Tamil, Hindi and English each need testing with real phrasing and accents, and mixed-language callers need extra care.
  • Integrations. Writing to a CRM, a calendar or a spreadsheet takes more work than reading from a fixed list of answers.
  • Handoff to a person. Deciding when the agent should transfer a call, and to whom, needs design and testing.
  • Reporting. Call summaries and a dashboard for your team add to the scope.

What moves the monthly cost

Mostly call volume and average call length. A voice agent that handles short, routine calls costs less per call than one that holds long conversations. Ask any vendor to show how usage is billed and who the billing account belongs to, so you can see and control it yourself.

How to keep the first version affordable

Start with one job the agent can own completely, such as answering the five most common questions and capturing the caller’s details. Run it for a few weeks, read real call summaries, then add the next job. This keeps the first spend small and replaces guesses with real usage.

Questions to ask before you buy

Whatever vendor you choose, these questions make quotes comparable:

  • What exactly is included in the build, and what is extra?
  • Which monthly costs are paid to third parties, and how are they billed?
  • Which languages are tested, and how?
  • What happens when the agent does not understand the caller?
  • Who owns the call recordings, transcripts and the phone number?

Frequently asked questions

Is an AI voice agent a one-time cost or a subscription?

Usually both. The build and setup is a one-time cost, and telephony and AI usage are recurring costs that depend on how many calls the agent handles.

Does Dreavis publish a price list for voice agents?

No. Dreavis scopes each project and replies with a real scoping answer, because the price depends on the jobs, languages and integrations involved.

Can a voice agent speak Tamil?

Language support depends on the speech and AI services used, and has to be tested with real callers. List the languages you need at the start so they are agreed and tested during scoping.
